The article highlights the problems of combating youth extremism in the Russian Federation. The administrative and legal fight against youth extremism is revealed in the context of the constitutional and legal provisions on ensuring the national security of the Russian state. The norms regulating the processes of countering youth extremism are analyzed in accordance with a set of normative regula-tions in the sphere of public relations under consideration. Modern approaches to the prevention and suppression of manifestations of youth extremism are substantiated.. The ways of optimizing the le-gal support of the fight against youth extremism in the Russian Federation are determined.
