The article examines various aspects of the participation of Komsomol members and Komsomol organizations in solving the problems faced by the bodies and troops of the NKVD of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War. Komsomol members took part in the first battles of the Nazis on the border as part of the Border Troops, fought as part of the NKVD troops of the USSR to protect the rear of the Active Red Army, fought in the rear of the enemy, participated in the elimination of the consequences of enemy bombing and shelling of cities and other settlements as part of the local anti-aircraft defense formations and fire units, served in the NKVD fighter battalions, etc. They showed examples of service, courage and dedication.
