The article analyzes the migration regime of modern Russia which is type of administrative law regime. Its importance for security and law and order is shown. The latest changes in migration are analyzed. The changes have affected the migration regime in modern Russia. Among them is a change in knowledge requirements of Russian language. These requirements are necessary for enrolling children of migrants in school, interagency information exchange between education management bodies and internal affairs agencies. The experiment of genomic registration of migrants is considered. The fiscal orientation of migration regime is shown. The futility of adopting the Migration Code of Russian Federation is noted. The role of Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in ensuring the migration regime is shown. The migration regime is provided by wide range of administrative enforcement measure. Mostly these measures are applied by internal affairs agencies.
