The article analyzes the concept and essence of operational investigative information, examines the criteria for its research and evaluation by operational units of government agencies, and the specifics of its use in crime-fighting activities. A consistent structured procedure for the investigation and evaluation of operational investigative information is outlined from the perspective of its relevance, admissibility, reliability and overall sufficiency. A comparative analysis of the features of evaluating the results of operational investigative activities and evaluating procedural evidence is carried out. The features of the formation of detective information in the operational search process are given. The author concludes that the assessment of operational investigative information is an informational logical process associated with the accumulation, processing and further targeted use of information intended and necessary for the effective prevention, detection, suppression and disclosure of crimes.
