The article examines the key criminological aspects of countering crimes against personal freedom. It analyzes the features of crimes aimed at restricting personal freedom, as well as the current trends in their manifestation. Special attention is paid to the causes and conditions of such crimes, as well as the methods of their prevention and investigation, taking into account criminological theories and practices. The study emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive approach that includes preventive measures, strengthening law enforcement activities, and cooperation between government agencies and society. The results obtained contribute to the development of effective strategies for combating crimes against personal freedom and improving the protection of citizens' rights.
