Russian Federation
The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that the presumption of innocence is a really functioning institution of Russian legislation, and compliance with this principle is an objective necessity. The system of guarantees for the implementation of the principle of the presumption of innocence is quite extensive and includes a system of provisions that allow the principle of the presumption of innocence to be effectively implemented. The guarantees are designed not only to protect an innocent person from unlawful conviction, but are also filled with a deeper meaning - they are designed to ensure the fairness and legality of the trial, to prevent violations of substantive and procedural law, as well as to control and organize the process in such a way that all persons guilty of committing crimes are punished, and innocent persons are not unreasonably brought to criminal liability.
