The article analyzes the system of legal regulation of medical and psychological rehabilitation of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation. Its relevance is considered in the context of ensuring social protection and rehabilitation of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation performing official duties in conditions associated with increased danger to life and health. The article also clearly describes the list of categories of employees subject to medical and psychological rehabilitation in the presence of indications, a list of indications for medical and psychological rehabilitation and the corresponding duration of medical and psychological rehabilitation, as well as the procedure and places of medical and psychological rehabilitation of employees. The article gives the author's definition of the concept of «medical and psychological rehabilitation». Methods. The study is based on the analysis of normative legal acts regulating the social guaran-tees of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation, in particular, the compara-tive legal method and analysis of legislative changes are used. The study was conducted taking into account an up-to-date sample of normative legal acts and in the context of an analysis of specific cases of application of legislation. Results. In 2024, a new order was issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, which expanded the categories of employees subject to medical and psychological rehabilitation and adjusted the procedure for providing this social guarantee. The innovations are aimed at ensuring an adequate level of social support for employees and their return to active professional activity.
