The article is devoted to the study of problems related to the extradition of a person who has committed a crime, in the light of the current geopolitical situation in the country, as well as the historical part of the issue in order to identify the most relevant provisions enshrined in the documents previously regulating this institution. The comparative analysis made it possible to draw a reasonable conclusion regarding the decision on extradition in the presence of requests from several foreign states for the extradition of the same person, and to propose appropriate changes to the current criminal procedure legislation
