A study of the functioning of the Chinese police allows us to clearly see that today in this country, modern interaction between police and the public is built on an interactive, two-way exchange of information using a variety of approaches. This interaction is a management function that combines activities to regulate the behavior of the parties, coordinate police activities and improve its image. The pur-pose of this activity is to establish positive images of law enforcement officers in order to implement the police functionality to the greatest extent. Solving the prob-lems of the population, police officers have to interact with families of citizens, work and school collectives, as well as with representatives of various public organizations and associations. There are many such organizations in the PRC, and they make a significant contribution to the joint activities of the people and law en-forcement in the fight against crime. The most important area of work for the Chi-nese police is to maintain and strengthen the "credit of trust" given to it by society, as well as to provide Chinese citizens with support and assistance in all sorts of difficult situations within the limits of law enforcement competencies. Likewise, the high assessment of the police efficiency together with the comprehensive support of the majority of citizens contribute to the increase in the effectiveness of the functioning of the police units themselves in the process of performing their functions, which, in turn, also has a positive effect on minimizing illegal activities among representatives of the population, thereby increasing the level of security of the entire modern Chinese society. The experience gained in the course of this study requires serious consideration and can be further used in the process of interaction between domestic law enforcement officers and the population aimed at jointly ensuring law and order.
