Abstract (English):
Based on the study of departmental materials using the example of the Volgograd region, the article provides some results of ensuring fire safety in correctional institutions. It is concluded that the anal-ysis of the state of legality and supervision practice indicates numerous systemic violations of legislation in the field of fire safety committed by officials of the penal system. Specific measures and recommendations areproposed to correct the current negative situation, which, according to the au-thors, will certainly bring positive results.
