The article examines the threats posed to human rights by the rapid development of artificial intelli-gence, as well as some potential international legal measures to possibly counter such threats. The article also discusses the potential reclassification of some artificial intelligence systems, which are currently defined as presenting limited risk, into systems that pose significant risk or pro-hibited systems. Thus, the purpose of this article is to describe the key features of the European Union's approach to regulating artificial intelligence in the context of human rights protection, as well as to identify both its achievements and shortcomings, and propose improvements to existing provisions.
